No Time Like The Present

I have just decided that that would be an excellent name for an album, therefore, that will be the name of the Pickle Farmer's second album. Now critics may be on my case saying things like, "why don't you write some music instead of album names" and "how can you have a name for your second album when you haven't even made the first one?" I will answer that these are all valid questions. Now some of you may be saying that that in no way answers the question. I will ignore you. The truth is that there is an above-zero chance that the pickle farmers will produce some excellent music this summer. Obviously enough, there is a greater-than-zero chance that that music we produce will be excellent. I hope our readers at home have their statistics books handy, and have calculate that that gives us an excellent chance to be producing quality music, something we are renown for and take great pride in.

To all the Pickle Farmers fans out there I have but two words for you:

Endure... longer.

Prison Dave out.

Doom!

Happy New Year everyone!
So. The earth is going to explode, or at least that's how it appears... data from Yellowstone is pointing--horrifically-- to the abrupt occurrence of a cataclysmic volcanic eruption. Wow.
Anyway, should said disaster happen you'll be able to find me roaming the countryside with my homedogs, using stolen AK-47s to gun down the occasional deer. And we'll still be making music. Check it.

Peace out,

New (To the Web) Pickle Farmers Songs On Myspace!

Hey remaining Pickle Fans!! I just uploaded "Girl" and "Hey There Delilah (Doorbell Version" to Myspace! They are download-able (God forbid that you want them!), and listen-able of course! Also if you're into open source software, I want to give a shout-out to Songbird, which just reached Release Candidate 2. It is an open source media player which is soon to rival iTunes when it is released very soon. It was (and is being) designed by the same glorious folks who made a web browser I know many of us swear by, Mozilla Firefox. It integrates the web and your music via an extension (pre-installed) called Mixtape. Mixtape displays artist biographies, band members, photos and mucho, mucho more information. Now for all of you folks who love iTunes (myself included) don't fret. There is a built in feature which can import your iTunes library when you first use Songbird, and also, it will automatically update your Songbird library when you add/delete songs in iTunes! I personally made the effort to add necessary information to the internet to allow artist info (and lyrics via the extenstion Lyric Master) to be displayed when songs by The Pickle Farmers are played! Check it out!

On the upside!

Operation "Change as many computer's homepages to this blog" has succeeded!
I have actual, live-person accounts of surprise and wtf-edness at the sight of this blog.

Now, the question: Will you ever get to see more material? A Vlog? A radio broadcast? Something? ANYTHING?

The answer, I'm afraid, is maybe. But maybe you should just chill, sit back, and enjoy the ride.
I've been thinking hard about songs and possible long-distance collab, but the chances are slim.
I'll tell you guys what.
If someone posts "HOORAH!" as a comment on this blog post, I will take time out of my life to record a song. Kapeesh?

Peace out.

Desolation!

Wow! This place is empty!! Over a month without a post.....maybe I should branch out like I had thought a couple months ago....Well, Pickle Fans, don't worry, college may have this group apart, but we can still create music and, when we're back together, wow, it'll be like lightning.

Video Blog aka VLOG!

We're doing one!
After these obnoxiously large video files compress and transfer magically onto our laptop, we should be good to go, that is besides the ridiculous process of paring 280 minutes of footage down into about ten minutes of video time.... this means you'll probably only get to hear about two of our favorite songs in full, along with random chatter. Good deal. Hopefully, though, the Vlog is a success, and aquires popularity for both us, the sexy DJs, and the station in general. 'Cause it would be friggin' sweet to hear from random people. Awesome.
Anyway, We'll keep you posted.
G'night, Pickle Fans!

Peace out.

More Temporary Endeavors

All State!  Just got to tell you all, this place is bopping.  There's so much talent in this one little campus that it makes me want to excrete all over myself.  I've been hearing a lot about music whilst I'm here, so I'll need to share that with you when I get back.
Anyway, cheers to you, pickle fans, and thanks for listening to my buddies at the radio station while I'm away.

Peace out.

Temporary Pursuit of Other Musical Endeavors

Well I am officially beginning final rehearsals for my first "Pro" music gig, along with my good friend (I won't print her name here, we'll call her "Böss") we are both paid musicians now. I will make a triumphant official return to Pickle Farmer exclusivity after August 10th, but for now, my heart is in the pit of Guys and Dolls in Long Prairie. For any of you wishing to attend, shows are August 1,2,8,9 at 7:00, or August 3rd and 10th at 2:00. Ticket information will be available after tonight.
